Pupils of "AKM-Junior" performed at the tournament in memory of cosmonaut Belyaev


From July 28 to August 1, traditional competitions dedicated to the memory of the hero-cosmonaut Pavel Ivanovich Belyaev were held in Cherepovets. Six youth hockey teams took part in the tournament, among which was a team from the Tula region - "Akademiya Mikhailova-Junior", "MK in Tule" was told more in the press service of the MHC.
Following the tournament, the Tula team took fifth place, earning 5 points. The team was able to please the fans with victories twice - over Loko-76 (5:1) and Metallurg (5:2). However, in the matches against Almaz and Sakhalin Sharks, the Mikhailovtsy lost in regular time, and the meeting with Kapitan ended in defeat in overtime. In total, Yuri Navarenko's charges scored 15 goals in five games.
Defender Nikita Semak received individual recognition. He was named the best defense player in the tournament, scoring 4 points (2 goals and 2 assists). The hockey player himself noted that participation in the tournament gave food for thought:
After a series of matches, Nikita Semak admitted that he considers it necessary to work on discipline and the implementation of moments. The reason is that the team has no right to allow itself such mistakes if it wants to win. The young hockey player called this experience a good lesson before the Governor's Cup.
Head coach Yuri Navarenko also summed up the performance. According to him, the competition revealed both the pros and cons of the Tula team. A full review of all players was conducted. Some will leave the team, as MHK plans to strengthen. According to the coach, the athletes will have very little rest and will return to training with doubled energy. Ahead is the Tula Region Governor's Cup, and the team intends to approach it fully armed.
